For those of you wondering why there was no post for week 3, our chapter had no GBM (General Board Meeting) last week, instead we had inductions! We are proud to say we have 6 new pledges starting their journey to becoming a Brother of AKPsi!
Here are a few updates for the week...
Inter-Chapter Relations: Brother Jaime Astorga and his committee have been working hard on the NW Fall Kickoff event attendees for Kappa Xi! Due to their efforts of motivating all of us, we have a fighting chance at having, once again, the highest turnout two years in a row! GO KAPPA XI
Philanthropic: Brother Becky Long and her committee will be organizing a banquet for the firefighters that worked tirelessly on containing the "Taylor Bridge Fire." The fine details of this event are still being arranged but I encourage everyone to please attend this event to show the firefighters how much we all appreciate the homes and lives they have all worked to save! This event will be taking place November 15th, I will update with the location soon. Kappa Xi will also be giving back to the community at "Boo Central" which is a yearly children's Halloween fair organized on campus on October 31st beginning at 5:00pm.
Brotherhood: Brother Chelsea Bronn and her committee will be organizing a Halloween event on October 27th at Brother John Parizek's house! There will be plenty of excitement including; bobbing for apples and pumpkin carving! There will be plenty of activities to do but you will just have to show up to find out!
Professional Development: Due to changes in scheduling the Windows presentation on October 17th at 7:30pm has been canceled, but Brother Marina and her committee are working on a better date!
Also, I really want some feedback from all of you about my blog so far! Please feel free to leave a comment.
Thanks!
